Description

  • L-TRYPTOPHAN, OR ONE OF THE BASIC AMINO ACIDS OF HUMAN
  • TRYPTOPHAN IS AN IMPORTANT COMPONENT OF MANY BASIC METABOLIC FUNCTIONS
  • TRYPTOPHAN IS THE ONLY PRECURSOR OF SEROTONIN OR A KEY NEUROTRANSMITTER IN OUR BODY
  • THERE IS A CLOSE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN TRYPTOPHAN AND MELATONIN - TRYPTOPHAN IS METABOLIZED TO MELATONIN
  • MELATONIN IS A HORMONE THAT REGULATES THE CURRENT RHYTHM AND THE CYCLES OF SLEEP AND WATCHES

Essence L-tryptophan. Dietary supplement in the form of capsules containing 1000 mg of L-tryptophan in the portion of the product recommended for consumption during the day.

If you want to supplement your daily supplementation with tryptophan, here is the product you are looking for! Each capsule is as much as 1000 mg of L-tryptophan. It is an amino acid with broad biological activity that acts as a "background" because it is a precursor of important compounds, such as serotonin and melatonin.

Is L-tryptophan an amino acid?

L-Tryptophan is one of the nine essential amino acids for humans. "Necessary" in the sense that the body cannot synthesize them, so they must be part of the diet you eat. Tryptophan is an ingredient in many popular foods, especially those that are high in protein (1). Although tryptophan is found in the smallest amount of the 20 amino acids in the human body, it has wide-ranging effects and is a critical component of many essential metabolic functions (2).

The main activities of tryptophan

After protein synthesis, the second most common metabolic pathway of tryptophan is kynurenine synthesis, which accounts for approximately 90% of tryptophan catabolism. Perhaps you haven't even heard of this relationship. Kynurenine is a key component in the synthesis of many metabolites in the central nervous system, and each of these metabolites may affect other neurotransmitters. Tryptophan can also act as a substrate for the synthesis of niacin, i.e. B vitamins (2).

How is serotonin produced?

There is a close relationship between tryptophan and serotonin. Tryptophan is the only precursor to serotonin. When ingested, tryptophan is distributed throughout the human body in the circulatory system (2). Serotonin is perhaps best known as the neurotransmitter that modulates the nervous activity and a wide range of neuropsychological processes. Serotonin and serotonin receptors (which mediate its action) are important in the regulation of virtually all brain functions. It is difficult to find human behaviour that is not regulated by serotonin. Behavioural and neuropsychological processes that are modulated by it include, but are not limited to, mood, perception, anger, aggression, appetite, memory, sexuality, and attention (3). Serotonin is involved in the regulation of mood (4).

Tryptophan and melatonin

Tryptophan is metabolized to melatonin via the serotonin pathway. Endogenous melatonin is a naturally produced, synthesized and secreted hormone mainly in the pineal gland at night. Melatonin production begins precisely with tryptophan, which is converted in a multi-stepped pathway to serotonin in other parts of the brain. Some of the serotonin produced goes to the pineal gland, which is then converted into melatonin in a cyclic, light-dependent process. Melatonin regulates the circadian rhythm as well as the sleep-wake cycles in humans (5, 6).

Essence L-tryptophan is an essential amino acid in a convenient capsule form. It is an important component of proteins and a precursor of compounds essential for the functions of our body.
